Sketch dump 2011

so yeah, Its been some time since I did an actual drawing and its mostly because I can't finish what I start... I cant get myself to seat for 10 hours and make a nice picture because well... even after 10 hours it won't look like a 10 hour pic and I could use those 10 hours to do something more productive like play Pokemon or something

anyways here is a compilation of some sketches of my oldest characters which obviously have been through a lot of changes to the point they don't really look a lot like they did 7 years ago when I first drew them, but for the sake of nostalgia still keep their stupid names these at some point were supposed to make actual drawing projects, enjoy!

1. from left to right these two are Messa (short for Melissa) and Sisi (not short for anything ) they are part of my VERY FIRST set of OCs back in 6th grade, sisi has kept her tomboyish style and messa has gained some more importance in the story. the story was very influenced by the animes I watched back then, it was originally magic girl ish.

2. this was my first alter ego and character of my second set of OCs with their own story (which was influenced by stuff like inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist and naruto, a lot more filled with action and fantasy than my other story) her name is Shura (although Im not sure what her name was back then but it was something that sounded very like it).

2a. haha who doesn't love squared paper? this is one of the first sketches of shura from back in 2003. ahh good years!

3. Messa again, I love her long hair!

4. Shura again, yup, she's changed A LOT, I like dressing her with some more cute outfits but the original story is kept almost the same so her actual clothes are more combat suited and less girly.

5. this is Kia (you wouldnt believe how I came up with her name, if youre actually reading this and feel curious ask me) and she is another tomboy girl, she is kinda from 6th grade too but she has changed a lot in story and appareance, she is also some magic girl.

5a. original drawing of Kia, same notebook but about a year of difference from the Shura one.

6. these two are Ami (left) and Hellen (right) Ami is a Japanese (really!) girl and Hellen is her North American (yup, really!) friend. They are from the same story as the first two girls, Ami is actually the protagonist and Hellen is well... kind of on her own side. In this drawing Ami is suffering from heartache and some jealousy and Hellen is listening to her, the mix in modern and old clothes is part of the plot.

7. This is a girl with no particular name or story, but she is one of those girls that do rhythmic dance in Gymnastics. I drew her while listening to the soundtrack for Kill Bill Vol. 1, the particular song is called "Don't let me be misunderstood" its a really catchy tune!

sip ha pasado algo de tiempo desde que hice un dibujo bien y en su mayoria es porque no puedo darme a la tarea de terminar lo que empiezo... no puedo sentarme por 10 horas y ponerme a hacer un dibujo lindo porque pues... aun despues de 10 horas no va a parecer como un dibujo de 10 horas y podria usar ese tiempo para hacer algo mas productivo como jugar pokemon o algo asi

De cualquier forma aqui esta una recopilacion de algunos sketches de mis personajes mas viejos, los cuales obviamente han pasado por muchisimos cambios al punto en que ya no se parecen mucho a como eran hace 7 anios cuando los dibuje por primera vez, pero para mantener la escencia y algo de nostalgia les deje sus nombres originales (bien gachos pero ni pedo ) estos se suponia que los haria alguna vez en dibujos bien, disfruten!

1. de izquierda a derecha estas son Messa (cortito para Melissa) y Sisi (no es cortito de nada ) quienes son parte the MI PRIMERISIMO set de OCs cuando estaba en 6to de primaria, Sisi conserva su estilo machorrin y Messa ahora es un poco mas importante que antes. El cuento fue muy influenciado por los animes que veia en aquel entonces y por eso originalmente era sobre ninias magicas como Sakura Card Captor etc.

2. Este fue mi primer alter ego y un personaje de mi segundo set de OCs con su propia historia independiente (esta fue influenciada por animes como Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist y Naruto y por eso esta mas llena de accion y fantasia que la otra) el nombre de mi monita es Shura (aunque no estoy segura de como se llamaba en aquel entonces pero era algo que sonaba parecido)

2a. haha a quien no le encanta el papel cuadriculado? este fue uno de los primeros sketches de Shura de 2003. que buenos anios!

3. Messa de nuevo, adoro su pelo largo!

4. Shura de nuevo, asi es, cambio MUCHISIMO, y ahora me gusta dibujarla usando ropa mas linda pero la historia original sigue casi igual en su escencia por lo que la ropa que usa shura realmente es mas para peleas y menos femenina.

5. Esta es Kia (no se imaginan como salio el nombre y si estan leyendo y les da curiosidad preguntenme) y es otra ninia machorrina, ella es mas o menos tambien de 6to pero ha cambiado muchisimo de historia y apariencia y no la siento como la original que dibujue entonces, ella tambien se suponia que era como chica magica.

5a. el dibujo original de Kia que hice en el mismo cuaderno que el de Shura pero con como 1 anio de diferencia entre ambos.

6. estas son Ami (izquierda) y Hellen (Derecha) Ami es japonesa (NOOO NETAA!!) y Hellen es norteamericana (gringa hahahahaha) y son amigas. elals son de la misma historia que las otras dos y de hecho Ami es la protagonista y Hellen es pues... en su propio rollo porque en varios puntos del cuento no es realmente de los buenos. Ami en este dibujo esta sufriendo de problemas amorosos y celos y Hellen la esta escuchando, la mezcla de ropa moderna con las ropillas pseudo tradicionales japonesas es parte de la trama.

7. Ninia sin nombre ni historia, pero es una de esas que hacen danza ritmica en gimnasia. la dibuje mientras escuchaba una cancion del OST de Kill Bill Vol. 1 (muy buena pelicula!) se llama "Don't let me be misunderstood"
